Lisa Walters - Parts & Accessories Team Leader

We all know how much each RVer loves the parts and accessory store. After all, it’s where you get the parts to maintain your home on wheels. It’s where you purchase your fun items like trailer shaped patio lights to hang on your awning when you set up camp somewhere. That’s why it’s important to have someone as great as Lisa Walters as the parts & accessories team leader. Lisa has been with American RV for 10 years! And she really knows her parts & accessories, and all the customers (not to mention employees) just love her. She’s as sweet as they come and she’s always ready to answer any question you might have.
Lisa and her husband Wayne have a son and a daughter and they are also blessed with a very sweet grandaughter Shelby Jeanne. They do not take part in RVing, but that’s fine with us, because that means we get to enjoy Lisa’s company here more than we would if she were out traveling this great country of ours. When we asked Lisa if she could do anything in life right now, what would it be and why. She responded with an enthusiastic, “I would take my family and go on vacation for a month. Life moves way too fast. I would love to have to time to sit with them, laugh with them, and just relax and spend quality time with them as adults. And of course, continue to spoil my granddaughter”
We sure feel lucky to have you to work with, Lisa. You’re a valued part of our team, and we’d like to thank you for all you do!
A state park to put some spring in your step!

Wall Doxey State Park located in Holly Springs, Mississippi is just what the doctor ordered for those of us with spring fever. Speaking of spring, not only has the official season just begun, but this gorgeous 60 acre lake is spring fed, keeping the water nice and cool even when the spring days turn to the dog days of summer. The park has several amenities such as a meeting hall, an amphitheater, boat launch ramp, a bath house, picnic pavilion, cabins, ground camping, disk golf and much more. Locals find this park excellent for fishing and a perfect quiet retreat for the weekend. Within ten miles of the park you can find beautiful Antebellum Homes, Holly Springs Motor Sports Park, Graceland, and Kirkwood National Golf Course.
If fishing is your sport, you’ll want to get up early. We’re told the fish like to bite between 5:00 and 7:00 a.m. but fishermen will find that it’s worth it when they’re reeling in big mouth buffalo, pickerel, sunfish, bass, catfish, gar, or sunfish. So grab your favorite fly fishing rod and reel, but remember - if you’re fishing by boat, only trolling motors are allowed to operate on the lake.
Now if fishing isn’t your thing, you may just enjoy sitting back and quietly observing the wildlife. You may get to see some deer or wild turkey! The park is also just a 25 minute drive from The University of Mississippi, better known to some as “Ole Miss”. Whatever your reason for visiting this park, we’re sure you’ll find the peace and tranquility you need to add some spring back into your step to start this new season off feeling renewed and ready for whatever adventure you choose next.

American RV takes great pride in our employees, and we’re so happy to have such wonderful people working with us. Most of the employees have been with American RV so long, they often refer to each other as their second family.
Thanks for all you do, Mickey!
